Salute! Wikings, former Wikings and Wikings to be!

Some of you might have noticed, the game is at a turning point right now. For those who weren’t able to follow up here are some basic information about where WWIIOL and KGW stands right now:

After VonIck’s big reunion coup, most of the reunion participants went inactive again, for several reasons. This brought us to a smaller but still well-functioning Kampfgruppe Wiking. In general, numbers had been low to very low after our reunion, which even led to the result that the European squads moved to a defensive position on Wednesdays and Sundays squadnights.

But with the past week this is history! Last Sunday the overall population in game has been higher than ever before for a long time! The game population mark even hit a higher number than on our own reunion! Currently there is a huge marketing drive from CRS HQ, which brought us many, many, many greentags! The numbers are sheer unbelievable and it is definitely amazing to see so many new guys around.

The reason for the huge player increase is a tactical move from CRS to Free to play accounts. There no longer are free trials! You now can player for free, forever. Of course your ability to spawn certain equipment is limited. Anyway, the marketing operation is not finished yet! There are going to be mmorpg.com newsletters send out which should bring even more new players to the game!

With this huge among of greentags joining every day KGW HQ has decided to rebuild KGW! Yes, we will start actively recruiting again, and are looking into the procedures and tools for that as we speak! Besides this work, we are also going over a lot of other things, which will help the squad become more suited for its new size and role. This includes a forum clean-up and a restructuring the command system amongst other things. We will announce the changes as we get them done.

If you want to be a part of this, get in game! If you fancy to support KGW HQ in rebuilding the squad to its former strength, join us!
We will need all the help we can get! Be it administrative work which has to be done or leadership and training in game! There is a spot for everyone!

Atm we are setting up a new procedure for management of this area, meening our forum is still not open for registration. Untill further updates in this post, pls seek contact to KGW ingame and ask for a squad invite. I suggest using side channel og channel 10 for this.

Due to recent servercrash we are still strugling with restoring the techs needed for our mailingsystem to function fully. This affects the join@ mail and forum registration.

After a small incident (black out) the server crashed. Everything after 7th December have unfortunately been lost but it could have been worse.
